All good things come to an end as Jay-Z and Eminem wrapped up the fourth and final concert of their Home and Home shows on Tuesday night. The MCs, who brought out a slew of special guests to make the event even more spectacular, had fans in awe as they left Yankee Stadium. MTV News caught up with a few of the show's attendees who described the hip-hop extravaganza as nothing short of incredible.
"It was wonderful to see two of the greatest MCs in the history [of hip-hop], Jay-Z and Eminem, come together and put this on at Yankee Stadium," Eddie Blackmon said.
Among the devoted fans was Michael Bivins, a founding member of the illustrious R&B/hip-hop groups New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe. Bivins said that, in the end, the two rappers' personal tribulations have helped them to succeed.
"These brothers have been through something — Jay's struggle and Eminem's recovery — and it comes across as entertainment, and I think it comes off as incredible," he said.
The presence of two superstar MCs on one stage was thrilling, but the show's guest appearances also earned rave reviews: Kanye West, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Dr. Dre, Drake and 50 Cent and G-Unit all turned up.
"Nicki Minaj! I love her! Beyoncé!" gushed attendee Mika Bennett, who was joined by friend Donte S. "I had tears in my eyes. It was crazy, crazy."
Armaan Torado loved how the acts represented for the Big Apple. "All of the people making guest appearances, Hov and them really did their thing and Hov represented New York right."
Another fan, Terrence Davis, said the event was just what the city needed saying, "I definitely think this was a historical night. Eminem, Jay-Z came out. The Bronx came out. The Bronx needed this. They both did an amazing job and I want to give it up for both Jay-Z and Eminem."
"I thought it was the most incredible show I've ever seen in my life out of anything," Alex Deiderian told MTV News. "It's like the rarest thing I've ever seen. I've never seen so many celebrities in one place."
