Are Robert Downey Jr. And Zach Galifianakis A Good 'Due Date' Duo?

Downey compares them to other comedy teams ... like Ashford & Simpson.
By Kara Warner

In the upcoming film "Due Date," Robert Downey Jr. plays the straight man to the zany antics of Zach Galifianakis and a scene-stealing French bulldog named Honey (renamed Sonny by Galifianakis, we're told).

If you've seen the trailer, you know that Downey's character is trying to get home to his wife, who is going to have their baby very soon. Zach's character comes into the mix as an alternate mode of transport, which naturally turns out to be a cross-country road trip that destroys cars, friendships and nerves.

When MTV News caught up with one-half of this new comedic duo at the Los Angeles premiere of the film recently, we asked Downey to compare his two co-stars: Galifianakis and the French bulldog.

"Well, actually, Sonny is supposed to be a boy [and] is largely played by a female dog," the "Iron Man" star explained.

"Honey is her real name," Downey's wife Susan chimed in.

"Right. Honey is a bitch. Sonny is supposed to be this meat stick in the movie, so they pulled in a male dog, and that's how I think of Zach: He's kind of a hermaphrodite hound," Downey said with a smile.

Somehow, we imagine Galifianakis would take that assessment as a compliment. But where might he and the "Hangover" star rank among the great comedic duos in film history?

"I'll know a lot more in a couple hours, but I would say kind of Ashford & Simpson right now," Downey said. "We'll see if we get to Hope and Crosby."

Check out everything we've got on "Due Date."

Stone Temple Pilots Reunited In Hopes Of Opening For Led Zeppelin, Bassist Says

'If time allows, there will definitely be new music,' Robert DeLeo adds of STP's future.
By Chris Harris

There are a number of reasons why Stone Temple Pilots decided to reunite after nearly five years apart — some are obvious, and others, not so much.

Of course, the financial windfall of reviving the grunge stalwarts for an extensive U.S. tour was too good to pass up, and bassist Robert DeLeo readily admits as much. And then there are the fans, the ones who had been with STP since the very beginning as well as those who discovered the band only after it first split back in 2003 and who, woefully, have yet to catch the Pilots live.

On a more personal level, though, Stone Temple Pilots' resurrection was purely selfish, and very much an anticipatory (not to mention optimistic) move on the band's part: If, after the months and months of rumors and denials, there ever is a full-on Led Zeppelin reunion tour, STP wanted to be ready to offer their services as an opening act.

"Believe me, that was one of the reasons," laughed DeLeo. "We thought, 'We should get together now, in case Zeppelin does tour.' I'm serious, man. That would be one hell of a bill: STP and Led Zeppelin. I mean, we could play a doghouse, out in the middle of the ocean, and if I got to play with Zeppelin, that would be a highlight of my life."

Yes, DeLeo — and the rest of the band — had several reservations about raising STP from the dead — a feat DeLeo jokingly referred to as "Mission Impossible." For the band's members, the idea of regrouping was terrifying at first, but with time, the boys settled their differences and tried to think positive.

"For me, it was about putting down some of the things that I was used to getting bitten by," explained the bassist — who, with guitar-playing brother Dean DeLeo, has been collaborating with Peter Frampton on material for his next LP. "After you get bitten, it's hard to go back. I wanted to go into this with an open frame of mind and a positive attitude and just have fun with it. We should have fun with it, which God knows we didn't always have with our career when we were younger. If that's all I can say, and that's what I can get out of this reunion, great.

"I think I speak for all of us when I say there's a lot of unfinished business that we didn't get around to the first go," he continued. "Enough time has gone by, and it feels really good to be back. I don't really want to put too much thought into how it feels — I'm just kind of going with it and keeping a good positive attitude about it. I just needed to get over the things that we all needed to get over, and that's been working so far. If everyone shows up and does this thing, I think it's going to be really amazing."

DeLeo claims that during recent rehearsals, STP were "sounding as good as ever," and he credits sobriety as part of the reason the band's in tip-top shape.

"My brother's going on four years of sobriety," he said. "We have a lot more clarity in the band now, and I think with clarity comes appreciation. I saw that the other night, when we played [a secret gig in Los Angeles]. I saw it in my eyes, and in the eyes of the rest of the band. There's a lot more rock in this band now."

As for an STP record, DeLeo is not 100 percent sure that's going to happen. The goal for STP over the next few weeks, he said, is to reacquaint themselves with their songbook and prepare for their return to the road. Once the band is back in that mindset, the bassist said new STP material is very possible.

"I've always got stuff written, and there's always a long list of songs that are always there — it's a matter of timing," DeLeo said. "If time allows, there will definitely be new music. I think it would be silly not to release new music. I'd like to believe we still have a writing relationship, but the first step is getting reacquainted with what we know."

While STP were on hiatus, frontman Scott Weiland teamed up with Velvet Revolver, and the DeLeo brothers joined forces with Filter's Richard Patrick for Army of Anyone — who are now on hiatus after releasing a poorly received self-titled LP. Does DeLeo foresee an AOA reunion somewhere down the line?

"You never know," he said. "It's just like STP — I didn't know if I was going to return. Whether we get back together and do anything, I think we made a great record, bottom line. That's all that matters to me. If we make another one, I want to make sure it's great, and that applies to STP and anything I do. But I was pretty heartbroken over [the feeble response to AOA's album]."

Rihanna, Jon Hamm Helm Halloween 'Saturday Night Live' Episode

Singer re-teams with Andy Samberg's 'Shy Ronnie' for 'Ronnie & Clyde' skit.
By Mawuse Ziegbe

Jon Hamm hosts "SNL" on Oct. 31
Photo: NBC

This year's Halloween episode of "Saturday Night Live" went easy on the scares in favor of skits with a retro vibe. Jon Hamm, who hosted the same episode last year, mined his advertising executive alter ego from the midcentury drama "Mad Men," Don Draper, for laughs in his opening monologue. Leading an impromptu brainstorming session for product tag lines, Hamm suggested pushing diapers with the slogan, "Don't worry, little homie, we got your butt."

Musical guest Rihanna teamed up with Andy Samberg's timid alter ego Shy Ronnie once again for the digital short "Ronnie & Clyde," playing Prohibition-era bank robbers. Rihanna rocked a vampy, cropped suit jacket and fedora, busting up the joint as Clyde while Ronnie, awkwardly dressed in a flowing skirt and beret, bashfully hung by her side.

"Hands in the air, it's a stick up," she belted. "If you don't want to end up dead, you'll do anything Shy Ronnie says!" As a reserved robber, Ronnie is ineffective, mumbling his commands as the bank attendees look confused and Rihanna gets irritated. "No one in the back can hear you," she said. "Use your outside voice!" Rihanna tried to instill some confidence in her reticent partner and suggested he picture everyone naked. But then Ronnie got a little too excited and prompting Rihanna to proclaim, "Boner alert!" Rihanna ditched Ronnie after he shot himself in the foot, but having the floor to himself gave him a confidence boost, and he began to kick rhymes with gusto. "Ronnie, mother----er, and I'm back from the dead!" he spit, until Rihanna returned for more cash and a hunky hostage played by Hamm.

Hamm annoyed Bill Hader's Vincent Price as horny Senator John F. Kennedy, alongside Fred Armisen's randy impersonation of glitzy piano man Liberace, in a '60s Halloween special. Hamm also turned up in a skit about two bumbling '70s cops fighting crime with feathered hair.

The cast paid homage to the '80s sci-fi classic "Back to the Future" throughout the show, reenacting fake screen tests for the flick by some of the biggest stars of the era. Highlights included Jay Pharoah as an energetic Eddie Murphy, Kenan Thompson has a inarticulate Bill Cosby and Armisen as a brooding Prince.

Although Rihanna told MTV News on Thursday that she was "most looking forward to" acting in her digital short, the singer didn't short-change fans with her performances. She hit the stage first with hot pants, a crimson bra-top and wavy red locks for her flirty track "What's My Name?" The Barbadian-born diva gyrated and rocked some sultry moves on a set bathed in red light. She returned for "Only Girl in the World" in a completely red outfit with large bow tied in her hair. Throughout the song, Rihanna belted the chorus in a spotlight that obscured the rest of the band, giving the illusion that she was the only girl on the stage.

Dr. Dre Says Eminem/Jay-Z Shows 'Inspired' Him To Work On Detox

Crowd response at Home and Home concerts 'made me want to hurry up and get back in the studio,' the Doc says.

When Dr. Dre surprised the crowd at Eminem and Jay-Z's historic first Home and Home Tour stop in Detroit, fans greeted the elusive rap king with epic chants of "Detox!" after he spit memorable bars from his last LP, The Chronic 2001. During a recent sit-down, Dre said the warm response motivated the beatmaster to hit the lab and get his much-anticipated and long-delayed follow-up into the hands of those screaming fans.

"Being on the stage with Eminem and Jay-Z was one of the most incredible feelings I've felt in a long time. It inspired me, it made me want to hurry up and get back in the studio and put more effort and more work into my own project," Dre told MTV2's "Sucker Free" on Wednesday during an event for his latest successful venture, Beats by Dre.

The much-lauded producer said rocking the stage with his protégé-turned-pop phenomenon, Eminem, and his "Under Pressure" collaborator, Jay-Z, validated his current efforts and demonstrated that more than 10 years into the wait for Detox, hip-hop heads are still hungry for more Dre-helmed bangers.

"The response from the people out there was just incredible," Dre said. "It let me know that I still got love out there and I'm not wasting my time in the studio with what I'm doing, with the music or with all the Beats product that we're putting out."

After stacking hip-hop hits for decades, nurturing the careers of superstar MCs such as Snoop Dogg, Em and 50 Cent, releasing two almost undeniably classic solo efforts, 2001 and 1992's The Chronic, and shaping the way the latest generation of rap lovers hears music with his Beats by Dre headphones, the Doc has crafted a game-changing legacy. Even boasting that singular résumé, the deafening shouts from die-hard Dre acolytes still excite the rap icon.

"I can't explain it," he said. "It's an incredible feeling. It's not something that can be bought. You have to earn it, and it just made me feel just amazing."

What do you think Dr. Dre's Detox will sound like? Sound off in the comments!

Britney Spears' Best Pre-'Glee' Comedy Moments

Before she hits up 'Glee,' relive her small-screen history.

Tuesday night's (September 28) "Glee" episode is all about Britney Spears. While fans and the show's stars are excited to see the singer light up the screen in the appropriately titled "Britney/Brittany" episode, it's hardly the first time Spears has performed for a laugh on the small screen (and we're not talking about her docu-series "Britney & Kevin: Chaotic").

Spears brought the funny in a show-opening appearance on the 2009 VMAs, her top 10 list on "Late Night With David Letterman" and on "Saturday Night Live," especially during her stints as the show's host in 2000 and 2002.

In 1999, Britney Spears stopped by "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" to teach Melissa Joan Hart a lesson or two about loneliness, fame and the proper way to do choreography. The duo also hooked up for Spears' "(You Drive Me) Crazy" video from the soundtrack for Hart's movie "Drive Me Crazy," which featured "Entourage" star Adrian Grenier.

Spears was one of the many pop stars to stop by "Will & Grace" when she made an appearance on the show in 2006. She showed off her Southern accent and comedic flair as closeted lesbian Amber Louise.

The singer proved she was funny once again when she appeared on "How I Met Your Mother" in 2008. Her People's Choice-nominated cameo (she was up for Favorite Scene-Stealing Guest Star) had fans rooting for her again after a difficult period in her personal life. She hit the small screen as Abby, a receptionist with a grudge against Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) after he forgot to call her after they, uh, went out.

What was your favorite small-screen moment for Britney Spears? Let us know in the comments!

Miley Cyrus To Auction Off Her Wardrobe

Sale benefiting the philanthropic social network Get Ur Good On begins later this month.

Miley Cyrus is cleaning out her closet — for a good cause.

She's just announced plans to auction off her clothing and accessories on eBay. The proceeds will benefit Get Ur Good On, a social network aimed at connecting youth with volunteer and service opportunities in and around their communities.

"For me I get this amazing blessing and opportunity to do this every day and get up on stage and hopefully inspire people with my music," Cyrus said in a video message posted on the Get Ur Good On site. "And that's something that's really important to me, but so is getting involved in charities."

In recent months, it's been Cyrus' clothing (or lack thereof) that's garnered most of the headlines. But the new auction is just the latest charity endeavor she's undertaken with Youth Service America, the organization that runs Get Ur Good On. Earlier this summer, she served as a spokesperson for YSA's "Blessings in a Backpack" mission, which provides weekend meals to children on free- or reduced-lunch programs.

"There's amazing charities right here in America. You don't have to travel 30 hours ... you don't have to give a billion dollars. It's not about how much or how far, it's about looking at your neighbors and seeing how you can help," Cyrus said. "This isn't just stuff that's all over the world, it's right here, it's right next to you. It's important to get involved."

Cyrus' Get Ur Good On auction is scheduled to begin later this month.

Eminem Talks Bullying, Sobriety, Rhyming Process On '60 Minutes'

Rapper takes viewers to his hometown of Detroit in CBS interview.
By Mawuse Ziegbe

As the introduction for Eminem's "60 Minutes" interview noted, the MC's rise to prominence transcends the hip-hop genre. His story has always been a point of fascination to his millions of fans but the famously private lyricist has been guarded about his personal life. However, in the sit-down, which aired Sunday (October 10), the rap superstar gave fans a glimpse of the man behind the music.

With news anchor Anderson Cooper in tow, Em took viewers on a tour of the Detroit neighborhood where he grew up, along the city's tough 8 Mile road, and opened up about his childhood, his lyrical process, his parenting strategies and the triumphant recovery from one of the lowest periods of his life.

Drawing on his years of experience as a top-flight wordsmith, Eminem took a stab at debunking some popularly-held beliefs about the boundaries of the English language while chopping it up with Cooper in his personal recording studio.

"People say that the word orange doesn't rhyme with anything and that kind of pisses me off because I can think of a lot of things that rhyme with orange," Eminem said, explaining that he plays with the enunciation of his words to make rhymes fit together, tossing out examples like "storage," and "porridge" to prove his point.

Em, who repeated ninth grade three times before quitting school altogether, said that despite his poor marks he was always good at English, and copped to trolling the dictionary for new words to keep in his lyrical arsenal. The MC also revealed how he stores many of his rhymes, opening a large box teeming with scraps of paper covered in scrawled lyrics.

Although the Grammy-winning, multiplatinum MC has captivated the ears of listeners around the world with his rhymes — breaking records and changing the face of hip-hop in the process — Em admitted that he was the target of schoolyard taunts as a kid.

"I would change schools two, three times a year and that was probably the roughest part," he confided about moving often due to an unstable childhood. "[I got] beat up in the bathroom, beat up in the hallways, shoved in the lockers, just, for the most part, being the new kid."

Later, he found solace in hip-hop and his ability to spit, despite his tough upbringing and status as the lone white kid in the underground rap haunts he once frequented.

"Hip-hop has always been about bragging and boasting and 'I'm better than you at this and I'm better than you at that,' " Em said."This kid over here, he may have more chicks or he may have better clothes or whatever but he can't do this like me. He can't write what I'm writing right now."

Em also admitted that his race did make things harder when he was working the underground circuit.

"There was certainly a rebellious youthful rage ... in me ... and the no-getting-away-from fact that I am white and this is predominantly black music and people [are] telling me, 'You don't belong and you're not gonna succeed because you're this color,' " Em said. "Then you want to show those people that you can and you will."

Em also said he believes race may have been an issue in terms of the criticism he has endured for his lyrics. Explaining that anti-gay slurs were cavalierly dropped in the hip-hop scene he came up in and citing the frequent use of offensive language by many other high-profile spitters, he said he felt targeted because he is white.

"I felt like I was being attacked. I was being singled out and I felt like, 'Is it because of the color of my skin? Is it because of that you're paying more attention?' " he said. "Because there's certain rappers that do and say the same things and I'm saying and I don't hear anyone saying [anything] about that."

Although Em's strained relationship with his mother has been a popular topic in his music, the Detroit MC has not often discussed his father, who left him when he was a baby. However, the "Not Afraid" lyricist said he doesn't have a strong desire to build a connection with his dad.

"If my kids move to the edge of the earth, I'd find them," he said. "No doubt in my mind. No money, no nothing. If I had nothing, I'd find my kids. So, there's no excuse."

The MC is protective of his own children, and although he spits harsh lines on his chart-topping albums, he revealed he doesn't allow vulgar language at home.

"I'm a parent; I have daughters," Em explained. "I mean, how would I really sound as a person like walking around my house [saying] 'Bitch, pick this up!' Profanity around my house, no."

Em also talked about being two hours away from death when he overdosed years ago and revealed that his Detroit Home and Home Tour stop with Jay-Z was the first stadium show he ever played sober. He also admitted that the rush of being onstage and feeling the love from fans never gets old.

"An artist can say that they get used to it but I think that they're probably lying if they do," Em said. " 'Cause you gotta be wowed, you gotta be taken back by seeing this many people and their faces."

Did you catch Eminem on "60 Minutes"? What did you think of the interview? Let us know in the comments!

Taylor Swift's Speak Now Could Have 2010's Biggest Debut Sales

Experts predict that the singer's new album could sell 800,000 or more copies in its first week.
By Gil Kaufman

Photo: Big Machine Records

There's no doubt that Taylor Swift is on a roll. From the pile of four-star reviews for her just-released third studio album, Speak Now, to the intense interest in the stories behind the songs, the 20-year-old singer is poised to cement her status as one of the biggest young career stars in all of music.

And next Wednesday could provide the icing on the cake. According to industry experts, Swift is on track to easily notch the biggest first-week sales of the year, and possibly even approach one of music's most elusive achievements: a platinum-selling debut week.

"I've been very specific on my point of view from the beginning," said Scott Borchetta, president and CEO of Swift's label, Big Machine Label Group. "We shipped 2 million copies this week and we always felt we could do 700,000 to a million." Late Wednesday, Borchetta said that sales for the week were trending "way north" of 700,000 and depending on how the rest of the week goes, "who knows?"

Either way, he was confident that Speak Now would sell a lot of copies.

Billboard has predicted that Speak Now could sell as many as 800,000-900,000 copies in the week following its release, easily besting the year's biggest bow to date, Eminem's Recovery, which moved 741,000.

"Expectations are high, very high," said Keith Caulfield, senior chart manager and analyst at Billboard, on Wednesday. "Let's say even though 1 million is possible, even if she doesn't get that, it will probably sell 800,000 or more, which will give her the give biggest single sales week for an album this year ... or last." Caulfield said the experts Billboard has spoken to are bullish on Swift's prospects, and they have good reason to be.

"It speaks volumes about how big a star she is and how she can get people engaged by not just buying a single track or concert ticket, but getting consumers to buy a whole album," he explained. "Considering how many albums she's sold and the story she's built and the career she's had over the past couple of years with her first two albums, it seems like the appropriate reaction."

Borchetta said the potentially gaudy numbers are a function of both a very careful, thoughtful marketing plan from his label and, more importantly, the strong connection between Swift and her fans. "It's about the songs for her and Taylor has taught millions of young people to go out and buy CDs," something that is a rarity in this day of easily accessible downloads from albums often larded with a few gems amid so much chaff. "Taylor doesn't write throwaways."

As proof, he noted that earlier this week she had nine of the top 10 singles on iTunes' country chart. Despite the seemingly risky prospect of flooding the market with more than 2 million CDs, he's not worried about returns. "Smile and wave," he said proudly. "They're gone. We're already getting re-orders." And though iTunes does not reveal sales data, Swift also seems on track to set some new high-water marks on Apple's digital service; at midweek all 14 songs from the album were on iTunes' top 200 singles list, including 10 in the top 30.

While some artists have come off recent best-selling albums to find soft sales for follow-ups, Caulfield said Swift seems destined to buck that trend because of the way she connects with listeners. "She's able to engage people in a way that's different than most other artists," he noted of Swift, who has created a unique lane with her confessional songwriting and willingness to share her private emotions with her millions of fans. "People feel that she's speaking from the heart and making a very personal statement. The songs come from her heart and [talk] about her feelings. You feel like you have more of a connection with her than other artists."

Another unique aspect he pointed to was her youth and ability to straddle both the country and pop worlds by appealing to fans who love Britney Spears and who used to follow Shania Twain, but who also enjoy contemporary country stars like Carrie Underwood. Add in super catchy songs and the Big Machine label's strategy of getting Speak Now into everywhere from big-box stores and mom-and-pop shops to Hot Topic, Starbucks and maybe even your local 7-Eleven, and the picture starts to come into clear view.

Now, about that 1 million number.

No album has reached that plateau since Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III sold 1,006,000 copies during its first week on shelves back in 2008, and one industry person who doesn't work for Swift's label told Caulfield that selling a million copies of an album in a week in 2010 is the equivalent of selling 2.3 million back in 2000. That magic number, the highest first-week tally in the chart's history, was put up by 'NSYNC's No Strings Attached in 2000.

Swift's last album, Fearless, debuted at #1 in November 2008 with sales of 582,000, going on to move 6 million copies and take the crown for the top seller of 2009.

At the end of the day, though, Borchetta stressed that Swift is not the kind of artist who is obsessed with reading SoundScan sales reports. "She's certainly aware of those things, but she doesn't put it in the perspective of having to beat another artist," he said. "She loves it when she's successful and is still just as excitable as ever, but when a fan quotes a lyric back to her she just loves it. For her, it's about her songwriting."

Top 3 Tips For Getting Car Financing for Bad Credit in Kansas City

Many have succeeded at getting car financing for bad credit while others have not in Kansas City. The differences between good results and poor results are often in the way the individual carrying it out approaches the challenge. Here are three tips to help you be among the list of winners, as an individual that succeeds. Follow the following tips and you can be sure to get good results!

First, you have to work with a local dealership that specializes in car financing for bad credit. It really is most important that you understand that not all dealerships have the staff to work with people with poor credit and do that properly. If you do it in this manner, making sure that the sales person you are working with has plenty of experience working with a person with bad credit, then you will be in a good position. Should you neglect it or don’t pay attention, you could be facing making your credit worse because the dealership hits your credit several times by working with several different lenders and none of them can get you approved.

Secondly, if you do it wrong by not doing your homework in choosing the best dealership in your area then you might have problems with customer service or paying too much for your car. Make sure the vehicle has a 100,000 mile warranty or 12 month bumper to bumper warranty too when getting your car financing for bad credit in Kansas City. This way if the car does break down you will have a warranty in place to help you get it fixed. Most newer cars have the 100,000 mile warranty or you can buy a 12 month bumper to bumper warranty for around $400. If the dealership is wanting to charge $1,000 to $2,000 for the warranty, understand you can get it for a lot less.

You really need to understand that you are going to be paying a little bit higher interest rate for your car financing for bad credit. Understand that the lending institutions are charging a higher interest rate to protect themselves from losing money on the deal. Unfortunately, there will be people that do default on their loans because they lost their job, had medical bills they couldn’t afford to pay or just did a poor job of managing their finances.

Third, you must remember to get the necessary car insurance to protect yourself in case you are in a wreck. In the event you neglect this or get it wrong, you must only expect to continue to be in a situation where you will need to spend more money.

Follow these three suggestions for getting car financing for bad credit in Kansas City and you’ll most likely succeed and enjoy all the rewards and benefits that getting car financing for bad credit have to offer you. Ignore them and the prediction is not good. It’s up to you, follow them and reap the benefits; ignore them and you will most likely not. Fail to follow these tips and getting car financing for bad credit will most probably remain only a distant dream.

Katy Perry And Russell Brand's Pre-Wedding PDA: A Timeline

Even before they were hitched, the superstars showed their love in kooky, cute and creative ways.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand took the ultimate step in their whirlwind romance on Saturday (October 23): they got hitched in a grand ceremony in India. The couple headed back to the place where Brand popped the question early this year after dating for several months. Since then, in true Brand and Perry style, the duo packed in a spate of memorable moments as they prepared to hit the altar. Here's a look back at some of the couple's interesting public displays of affection as they headed toward superstar matrimony.

Before the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, Brand hyped up his fiancé's upcoming performance of "California Gurls," referring to the pop princess' latest offering as "her new, brilliant single."

Later in June, the couple showed off their unique shared sense of humor when Brand dubbed Perry a "flatulence factory" during an interview. Perry fired back on Twitter, saying that Brand "light[s] up the sheets with [his] stanky arse."

Perry arrived at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in September with decals of her hubby-to-be pressed on her nails. The manicure was a fitting tribute as the duo sparked their romance at the awards show the year before.

A month before the nuptials Brand got into a scuffle with paparazzi at Los Angeles International Airport when he felt the paps were trying to snap an up-skirt shot of his lady love. Perry later defended her man's photog scrap, tweeting, "If you cross the line & try an put a lens up my dress, my fiancé will do his job & protect me. #standbyyourman #don'tf---withtheBrands."

The paparazzi snafu didn't stop Perry from hitting Las Vegas for a bachelorette bash a few days later thrown by celebrity bestie Rihanna. The affair included stops at a Cirque Du Soleil show and poolside antics.

A week before the big day, Brand said his ideal wedding would be set in "Victorian London," but conceded that getting married in a bygone era wouldn't be possible. The comic also denied rumors that he and Perry were already hitched but added, "Marriage takes place in the heart, so in that sense, we are already married."

Earlier this week, the pop-culture couple touched down in Jaipur for their wedding celebrations. Members of Perry and Brand's families were spotted around the city and on Tuesday the singer punched out what would be her last tweet as a single lady: "TWIT BREAK: Greatest gift u can give us is respect & [love] during this private X. No use wasting ur X w/ STOLEN or FALSE info. Thnk u for this."

On Saturday, the pair officially became husband and wife in a ceremony surrounded by friends and family.

'Batman 3' Will Be Called 'The Dark Knight Rises'

Director Christopher Nolan adds that Riddler will not appear in third 'Batman' film.
By Josh Wigler

In 2012, the Dark Knight will rise.

At long last, Christopher Nolan third "Batman" film. And as was the case with "The Dark Knight," the very mention of Batman himself is nowhere to be found. Instead, the critically acclaimed director of "Memento" and "Inception" will call his next film "The Dark Knight Rises."

Nolan confirmed the title in an interview with The Los Angeles Times, adding that the developing comic book adaptation will not have a role for the Riddler. The famous Batman rogue has long been considered a leading candidate to be the villain in "The Dark Knight Rises," with actors including Joseph Gordon-Levitt rumored for the part. But Nolan ended the debate with one rather definitive statement: "It won't be the Riddler."

In addition to confirming the title and removing one possible villain from the pool, Nolan stated that Warner Bros. executives have agreed with the director's desire to avoid 3-D for the third "Batman" film. Instead, "The Dark Knight Rises" will employ "high-definition approaches and IMAX cameras to strike out on a different cinematic path than the stereoscopic technology that, for better or worse, has become the dominant conversation in the blockbuster sector."

The pieces are certainly falling into place for "The Dark Knight Rises." Not only has Nolan announced the film's new title, he's also started the hunt for new actors. Earlier this month, his "Inception" collaborator Tom Hardy landed an unidentified lead role, with many assuming that he's taking on a villainous part. With his secret identity preserved, only one thing is certain about Hardy's character: He's not the Riddler.

"We'll use many of the same characters as we have all along, and we'll be introducing some new ones," the director said.

"The Dark Knight Rises" is scheduled to hit theaters on July 20, 2012. Shooting begins in April in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Check out everything we've got on "The Dark Knight Rises."
