Don't miss Em's Bad Meets Evil 'RapFix Live' interview with Royce Da 5'9" on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com.

Eminem's transition from the studio to the silver screen was a successful one. His 2002 film "8 Mile" was critically acclaimed and took home some MTV Movie Awards. But for Marshall, going from rapper to actor wasn't as easy. In fact, he said that some initial advice he had gotten from Ice Cube gave him a false sense of confidence.
"I think Ice Cube said this one time; I think I heard him say this one time," Em told Sway during their "RapFix Live" interview, which will stream on MTV.com on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET. "If you can rap, if you can perform to the camera for singing and videos, it should be a pretty, fairly natural transition.
"I felt like having heard him say that was like, 'Oh, this may be fairly easy' — and it wasn't."
For Slim Shady, that wasn't the case. "It's a whole different thing, because you may be used to performing to the camera, but it's a whole different ball game when the music is off and you have lines that you need to say.
"It takes a minute to get used to."
Though there is no official word on when Eminem will return to the big screen in a starring role, the rapper has partnered up with fellow Detroit MC Royce Da 5'9" for their upcoming Bad Meets Evil EP, Hell: The Sequel.
Tune in to "RapFix Live" on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET, when Eminem and Royce sit with Sway to talk about the making of the EP, the future of Shady Records and Eminem's rap inspiration.
