'I still can't wrap my brain around it,' singer/songwriter tells MTV News about being joined onstage by the Biebs.

Justin Bieber joined Ernie Halter onstage to perform Halter's "Come Home to Me" (off his album Franklin & Vermont) on Thursday night in Costa Mesa, California. When Halter got on the phone with MTV News bright and early Friday (May 20) morning, he was still reeling from the experience.
"I still can't wrap my brain around it. It's bizarre," he told us. "I was really impressed with how humble and very sweet him and Selena [Gomez] were to me. They're both incredibly nice people. It's pretty crazy."
He then described how Bieber ended up taking the stage with him. "Well, I mean, him coming to the show, I don't know why I didn't see that coming. I just didn't. I guess I'm slow, but I had no idea until I actually saw him and Selena. I went probably mentally not there for a minute or two.
"I was at the gig last night, which is not close to L.A. at all. He really wanted to go and then I'm talking to someone and out of the corner of my eye I look over and that really looks a lot like Selena Gomez," he continued. "I looked to see who she was with and I went speechless for a couple minutes. I asked him [to perform with me] and he said yes. It was a little bit of a surprise because I didn't think he would do it."
With Bieber's blessing hitting Twitter, the Internet is quickly following and Halter's Internet stock is rising. "I have a tweet deck on my computer and it flashes every second [now] and there's no way I would have been able to envision that," he said. "It's ridiculous. It's ridiculously awesome."
While Bieber has made it clear he's a fan of Halter, is Halter a fan of Bieber?
"Entirely [I get it]. I've been a fan and I really believe he's extremely talented," he said, explaining that his 3-year-old son got him into the Biebs. "The type of reach that he has worldwide is really iconic, on a level that we haven't really seen. I think he's very, very talented."

With DVD hitting stores Friday, here are the documentary's highlights.

"Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" DVD
Photo: Paramount
Already a successful documentary film, Justin Bieber's flick, "Never Say Never," hits the streets Friday (May 13) on DVD.
The film is an in-depth look at Bieber's meager beginnings as he puts in the work to become a pop megastar. It features interviews and concert footage, and as Bieber once explained to MTV News, he hopes it finally quiets his haters who might think he's some pre-packaged pop phenom.
"People didn't really know," he explained to MTV News. "They didn't understand that I've been playing music ever since I was born, and it's always been in me. And this movie is really going to show that I'm not just some packaged thing that some A&R put together. It was actually just me living my dream and just making music."
The film is an eye-catching look at the life of the star, and there are some very memorable moments. Here are our Top 5.
His Hair Swoop in 3-D
OK, the hair really did help make Bieber a star, and in a pre-haircut world, those bangs had girls swooning. Turns out, when you have Bieber swoosh his bangs around in slow-motion 3-D, it really puts butts in theater seats.
His Grandfather's Taxidermy
Going home with Bieber is particularly interesting (you get to see his childhood bedroom!), but seeing him play with his grandfather's stuffed dead animals, well, that's priceless.
Vintage Videos
Whether he's singing on a stoop or meeting with Usher, these vintage clips paint a picture of a young man dedicated to getting his voice heard. They help shape the story of Bieber's life and the movie's arc.
Meeting Bieber's Team
Getting to know the men and women who work tirelessly to keep Bieber happy really gives fans the nitty gritty of what it takes to keep the Bieber machine on track.
The Performances
Never been to a Bieber concert? No problem. These glittery 3-D moments give viewers a perfect idea of what a Bieber show is like: screaming fans, A-list cameos (Miley Cyrus, Usher) and all.
Will you buy the "Never Say Never" DVD this weekend? What are you excited to see? Tell us in the comments below!

Russell Brand and Rico Rodriguez get slimed onstage during Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards

For 23 years, Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards has been an event in which celebrities can truly let loose. After all, it's hard to have an ego when you're getting covered in green slime or being inducted into the Arm Fart Hall of Fame (we're looking at you, Josh Duhamel).
Nick's 2011 awards show, which aired lived on the network Saturday from Los Angeles, kept with its tradition of stars finding themselves in some truly outrageous situations. Host Jack Black, who was at the helm for the third time (he last helped hand out those coveted orange kaleidoscope blimps in 2008), kicked things off with an over-the-top musical number. The funnyman, wearing a black leather jumpsuit with flames — the first of many quirky wardrobe changes — was joined by a group of dancers to perform his own rendition of the Black Eyed Peas' hit "I Gotta Feelin'."
Black then introduced the group, as the "Jack Black Eyed Peas," and joined them onstage for "The Time (Dirty Bit)." BEP, who later won the award for Best Music Group, then sang their next single, "Just Can't Get Enough."
The first award of the evening was given out to Johnny Depp, who won Favorite Movie Actor for his performance in "Alice in Wonderland." Depp, who emerged from backstage, told the kiddie crowd and voters it was "truly a pleasure to receive this award that comes from you guys. I appreciate it."
After apologizing for beating Black in the category, Depp told Nick viewers, "You guys are the future; take good care of us." The actor then proceeded to get in on the fun, sliming the group of young fans who stood at the foot of the stage.
Depp's stunt led to one of the evening's most memorable — and by far, funniest — moments when "Arthur" actor Russell Brand and "Modern Family" star Rico Rodriguez appeared onstage soon after to present the award for Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie (the blimp eventually went to Eddie Murphy, who got the crowd to sing him "Happy Birthday," for his role in "Shrek Forever After").
Before Brand and Rodriguez could even begin their banter at the podium, the freshly slimed youngsters began throwing the green, gooey mess at the two stars. In response to the mayhem, Brand declared, "I'm never having children."
Brand continued, as he guarded Rodriguez from the kiddie coup, "I am English! I am your leader! You must not do this, I am royalty! You are all going to juvenile hall. You children are going to prison. You are bad children!" Brand, who is voicing a character in the animated feature "Hop," cried that the moment was not in the script, then joked, "Johnny, I wished you'd drowned them."
They weren't the only stars to get slimed during the broadcast. Heidi Klum, who almost took a spill thanks to her sky-high heels, got hit, as did Jason Segel, who received a slime slushie courtesy of Jane Lynch. Even Snoop Doog — who joined pop-rock group and Nick stars Big Time Rush for their song "Boyfriend" — got doused in the green stuff.
As Willow Smith performed her hits "21st Century Girl" and "Whip My Hair," the 10-year-old was cheered on by her dad, Will Smith, and brother, Jaden Smith, who were in the audience.
The final big award of the evening went to Miley Cyrus, who won for Favorite Movie Actress for "The Last Song." The former "Hannah Montana" star attempted to put gossip to rest during her acceptance speech as she thanked her family for supporting her career.
Cyrus will no doubt get fans wondering about the status of her relationship with "Last Song" co-star and on-again, off-again beau Liam Hemsworth, whom she thanked for "helping me make movie magic" in the 2010 drama.
The Big Help Award, which was presented by Rosario Dawson, went to singer/actor Justin Timberlake for his devotion to charities, particularly the work he does with Shriners Hospital for Children. In between cracking jokes about burping and getting the crowd to cheer if they had ever helped anyone, Timberlake took the time to tell his young fans, "Your heart is the most beautiful part, so don't forget to use it."
In addition to telling kids they can do their part to help, even with major issues such as the crisis in Japan, the star said something bound to make any adult watching elated: "Listen to your parents!"
Finally, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian hit the stage to help give away the last award of the night for Favorite TV Show, which went to the kid-friendly Nickelodeon hit "iCarly."
Black kept a high energy throughout the show, including some interactions with his "Kung Fu Panda 2" character, Po, — one of which featured a cameo from Britney Spears in a pre-recorded segment. He ended the evening with a slime battle between himself and Jim Carrey, who made a surprise finale appearance.

The buzzworthy big-screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins' dystopian best-seller "The Hunger Games" has added yet another highly anticipated cast member: Lenny Kravitz will play creative, kindhearted stylist Cinna.
Director Gary Ross said of the casting decision, "When I saw Lenny's work in 'Precious,' I was just knocked out. It was quiet and strong and understated and openhearted; all qualities which define this character. I'm really looking forward to this ride."
Cinna is the stylist for District 12 tributes Katniss and Peeta. Hunger Games stylists are responsible for presenting their tributes in complex costumes and ensembles that reflect characteristics of the tributes' native districts, as well as the personalities of the young men and women to which the stylist is assigned. Cinna is one of the few calming presences in Katniss' life, as well as one of the few people she can trust.
Naturally, Kravitz is best known for his music career — he won the Best Male Rock Vocal Performance Grammy four years in a row from 1999 to 2002, breaking the record for most wins in that category and most consecutive wins in one category — with tracks like "Are You Gonna Go My Way," "Fly Away," "American Woman," and "Again." Over the last few years, however, Kravitz has dipped his multitalented toe into the world of acting, his breakout role being that of compassionate and encouraging Nurse John in "Precious."
Kravitz joins a long list of high-profile stars, including Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy, Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne, Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinkett and Wes Bentley as Seneca Crane.

Our 'Death Cab for Cutie: Seattle Sonics' series kicks off Tuesday on MTV.com, the same day Codes and Keys hits stores.

Death Cab for Cutie's Nick Harmer and Ben Gibbard
Photo: MTV News
Death Cab for Cutie originally formed sometime around 1997, in the idyllic college town of Bellingham, Washington (unofficial nickname: "The City of Subdued Excitement"), but it was in a city 90 miles south where they'd really make their mark: Seattle.
Most of the band had grown up in towns surrounding the Emerald City during the height of the so-called "grunge explosion," and their teenage years progressed somewhat accordingly — Ben Gibbard, who was raised in Bremerton, would take a 55-minute ferry trip across the Puget Sound to watch bands play at the now-defunct OK Hotel in downtown Seattle — so, when they decided to make the move from Bellingham to the proverbial big city to try their hand at becoming a real rock band, well, it was sort of the stuff of dreams. Only, things didn't quite work out the way they had planned.
DCFC's early years were a struggle, marked by lousy, low-paying jobs and thinly attended gigs. When Gibbard took up residence in a tiny apartment on Corliss Avenue, working as what could charitably be described as a medical tech (he basically washed testing equipment), there were times when he thought about packing it in and heading back home. It seemed simpler than striking out as a rock frontman.
But he didn't, and slowly, people began paying attention. Released on Seattle's Barsuk Records, early efforts like We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes (most of which was written in that apartment on Corliss) and The Photo Album were met with much acclaim, and Death Cab for Cutie were on their way. Only, in a lot of ways, they've never really left ... Seattle is, was, and probably always will be their spiritual home.
And those sentiments are readily apparent on the band's May 31 album, Codes And Keys, Codes And Keys, which is about several things, most of which seem to be about the eternal longing for home, no matter how far away from it you may be. So, in celebration of the new album, earlier this month, we asked Death Cab to show us around their adopted hometown of Seattle ... the venues they haunted as teens, the places they worked before they made it big, the studio where they recorded parts of the new album. But it's much more than a guided tour; it's also a history lesson, both in terms of the band, and the Seattle music scene too.
We're calling it "Death Cab for Cutie: Seattle Sonics," and it begins Tuesday on MTVNews.com. But as we head into the long weekend, we figured we'd give you a taste of what's to come. Click on the teaser clip featuring Gibbard and bassist Nick Harmer recalling the glory of all-ages OK Hotel shows, and the havoc parent-mandated curfews wrecked on those magical nights. Enjoy, and make sure to check back on Tuesday, when the history lesson truly begins.

Judas Priest at the "American Idol" finale

"American Idol" contestants have been known to cover iconic songs by industry staples, and that was the case when finalist James Durbin rocked out to Judas Priest's classic "You've Got Another Thing Coming" earlier in season 10.
MTV News caught up with the heavy metal band on the red carpet for Wednesday's star-studded "Idol" finale, and the bandmates praised the young rocker for pushing the metal genre.
"Because we've lived so long and done so much stuff in heavy metal and we've seen so many crazy things and heard so many crazy things, when we heard this we went, 'F---! That's incredible, man. Let's do it, you know? This is insane. That's just amazing,' " frontman Rob Halford explained of their reaction to getting "Idol" exposure. "So as it progressed from 'Another Thing Coming' till this point now, when we're on the carpet and we're about to do the show, it's just a dream come true for Priest, for metal and, mostly, for James Durbin."
Asked if there was any trepidation about letting Durbin take on their 1982 hit, guitarist Glenn Tipton said, "None whatsoever, I mean, if you look at what James has done for heavy metal, you've got to say thank you, you know? It's just bringing metal to the front, making it, metal, accessible for people. It's a good thing."
Since the "Idol" contestant's rendition of the Judas Priest tune, the acts have become quite friendly with each other, even exchanging personal stories over dinner earlier this week.
As for whether the heavy metal world will ever see a collaboration between the fourth-place finalist and the British band, Halford was optimistic, saying,"Yeah, anything's possible."
"We just wish him all the best," he added. "He's got such an extraordinary voice. He's got such a genuine and lovable personality. He's the real deal, James, and we wish him the best. Good for you, James!"

Beyoncé performs on "The Oprah Winfrey Show"
Photo: Harpo productions
The first part of the two-part "Oprah Winfrey Show" star-studded surprise episode aired Monday (May 23), and with appearances from Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Dakota Fanning, Halle Berry, Diane Sawyer and Madonna, it was Beyoncé and her over-the-top, girl-powered stage spectacle that had the audience — and Oprah — moving.
Donning a tuxedo bodysuit and surrounded by a cavalcade of all-female backup dancers, Beyoncé strutted her stuff as she performed her new single, "Run the World (Girls)."
"Oprah, your persuasion can build a nation," B said mid-song. "We love you, Oprah. Thank you," she told the talk-show host at the end of the performance, giving a hug to Winfrey.
Last week, MTV News spoke to Beyoncé's longtime choreographer, Frank Gatson Jr., who commented on the honor of performing for Oprah during her epic farewell week. (The final "Oprah Winfrey Show" episode airs Wednesday.)
"It's amazing. Me, myself, Beyoncé, people of color — we have so much respect for that woman" Gaston said. "How can we say no to [Oprah]? She possesses something that God has given her, 'cause when I saw her onstage, of all the people that were there, everyone's in awe of her — Tom Cruise, Halle Berry, Madonna — so we felt honored, privileged. That's why Beyoncé pushed us so hard. She wanted to make sure that Oprah's proud of what she did for her show. She did such an important number.
"In Oprah's world, women rule the world, so how coincidental that Beyoncé's song is called that?" he continued. "So it was just appropriate, perfection. I loved it. It was great to be there. The energy in that place was unbelievable."
What did you think of Beyoncé's "Oprah" appearance? Let us know in the comments!

Femme Fatale producer tells MTV News the pop star defies categorization because she's 'forward-thinking.'
By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Matt Elias
Britney Spears
Photo: Max Morse/Getty Images
Since Britney Spears emerged on the scene nearly a decade and a half ago, she's run the gamut of pop music: from sugary bubble-gum to dirty, sexy dance tracks. In that respect, her longtime collaborator and Femme Fatale producer Dr. Luke says that the superstar has in many respects become bigger than pop. In fact, he says it's hard to confine her to just one genre.
"I feel like Britney kind of has her own genre: If you look at songs like 'Toxic' and 'Piece of Me' and 'Oops! ... I Did It Again,' they all were sort of influential and led the way," he told MTV News on Thursday (April 28) at the ASCAP Pop Music Awards.
So when the pair sat down to work on her latest release, Dr. Luke said her pop-music shape-shifting was very much on his mind. "She wanted to keep on with that and do stuff that was forward-thinking," he continued. "So we put some dubstep stuff in there, in bridges; snuck it in different places and I hope it ended up good. I hope you like it."
It seems every time Spears drops a new album, it's declared her comeback record. But Dr. Luke noted that Brit has really never gone anywhere. "Where'd she go? I don't know. I didn't know she ever disappeared, really," he said. "She's always been selling out concerts and records, so I don't know that she ever disappeared."
So what do Spears and Luke have up their sleeve now? "Not yet ... give me a second to breathe, come up for air!" he told us.
Plus, even with Femme Fatale already in stores, it seems like the pair are always finding ways to update the songs. Take, for example, the recent remix of "Till the World Ends," which features Ke$ha (the track's songwriter) and Nicki Minaj.
"Well, we already had Ke$ha on the song 'cause she co-wrote the song ... and she sounded really good on it," Dr. Luke explained. "And then Nicki got on the Femme Fatale Tour so we put Nicki on it and it just sounded amazing. She killed it."
Which version of "Till the World Ends" do you prefer? Tell us in the comments!

Scotty McCreery performs during the "American Idol" finale Wednesday
Photo: Getty Images
Either way, a teenage country singer was going to take home the season 10 "American Idol" crown Wednesday night (May 25), it was just a matter of whether it was Scotty McCreery or Lauren Alaina.
After Tuesday night's final performance episode, Fox announced that more than 122 million votes poured in, marking a new record in "Idol" history, bringing the season total to more than 730 million votes. And while Scotty looked like the unbeatable favorite, there was some doubt going into the finale, thanks to Lauren's gutsy performance just 24 hours before and her knockout delivery of what could have been her "Idol" coronation tune, "Like My Mother Does."
Two hours into the final show, Seacrest finally got the golden envelope, and McCreery and Alaina gave each other a playful, youthful shove in anticipation of the news. To almost no one's surprise, the name inside was Scotty's, and the Garner, North Carolina, baseball star and church choir member burst into tears, bending over with his hands on his knees as the giant screen behind him flashed "Scotty Wins!"
A smiling Alaina gave him a warm kiss, and the two pals embraced as judge Jennifer Lopez walked over to present a microphone-shaped trophy to the 17-year-old country crooner who never wavered from his signature, deep-voiced delivery throughout the competition. The rest of the season's finalists engulfed Scotty in a group hug as Seacrest brought him center stage and raised his hand like a boxing champ after a 12-round brawl to end it all.
"It's been a year since me and Lauren Alaina tried out, and me and her have been together since day one and we're gonna stay together. ... Never in my wildest dreams," said a shell-shocked McCreery. "I gotta thank the Lord first, he got me here."
Handing the platinum microphone off to James Durbin, McCreery moseyed out to the audience to hug his folks and his family (but not disappointed actor Jack Black), as he sang his coronation tune, "I Love You This Big," stopping along the way to hug each finalist and tell them he loved them while sparks and confetti rained down on his big moment.
As the song ended, he crumpled into a heap center stage for a good cry and then a few more embraces for the rest of the cast.
The performance-packed two-hour finale opened with the season's top 13 -- dressed in white and silver lamé -- taking a peppy, Broadway jukebox musical-style run at Lady Gaga's "Born This Way."
Speaking of Gaga, Mother Monster returned to the "Idol" stage for a surprisingly sedate performance of "The Edge of Glory." Standing at the top of a rocky crag while wearing an elaborate diamond-shaped headdress and black cape that she tossed aside to reveal a metal-studded leather bikini, Gaga mostly stood in place until a male dancer approached to engage her in a hip-to-hip ballet interlude that ended with a lover's leap.
He wanted to bring metal back, and fourth-place finisher James Durbin got his chance. Slipping into some studded metal duds to rock the stage with hard-rock legends Judas Priest on their classics "Living After Midnight" and "Breaking the Law," Durbin traded snarling vocals with singer Rob Halford and unleashed some of his signature rebel howls to the likely confusion of many in the audience and at home.
Jacob Lusk hooked up with gospel great Kirk Franklin and R&B legend Gladys Knight for Franklin's sanctified "I Smile"; bearded lover-man Casey Abrams threw down with "Kung Fu Panda 2" star Black on a greasy, scat-tastic romp through Queen's "Fat Bottomed Girls"; and the ladies of "Idol" (minus Lauren) did a sassy medley of Beyoncé songs, including "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)," "Irreplaceable," "Get Me Bodied" and "If I Were a Boy."
Things were seeming a bit long until B herself showed up to show the girls how it's done, with a fierce, heel-stomping "Crazy in Love." Queen B got another chance a bit later, debuting her emotional new ballad "1+1," from her upcoming album 4.
With composers Bono and The Edge in tow, Reeve Carney, star of the troubled Broadway musical "Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark," sang the meditative beat-rock ballad "Rise Above," capably trading vocals with the Irish rock icon in a pleading voice that was eerily reminiscent of Bono's own plaintive wail.
The top 13 guys also got a chance, singing Prince's "Kiss," which allowed Stefano Langone to break out his squeaky falsetto and Paul McDonald to do his scarecrow dance once more for Tom Jones' "She's a Lady," before Sir Jones himself came out to bring it home with "It's Not Unusual."
Haley Reinhart got to show off her jazz roots during a duet with musical icon Tony Bennett on a finger-snappin' "Steppin' Out," which included a bit of soft-shoe and fancy dance moves from the duo. One of the night's biggest surprises was the reunion of the two remaining members of 1990s girl group TLC with rapper Lil Jon and the top 13 girls for "Scrubs" and "Waterfalls."
Finally, it was time for McCreery to get the spotlight, sharing a microphone and holding his own with Tim McGraw on "Live Like You Were Dying." Also getting a chance to shine after mentoring the "Idol" contestants behind-the-scenes all season was Latin star Marc Anthony, who brought some salsa fire with "Aguanile," during which he was joined by wife Lopez, who showed off her dancing assets during a Sheila E. timbale breakdown.
In keeping with the judges' sharp use of the biggest platform in TV to plug themselves, Steven Tyler took the spotlight to sing an abbreviated version of Aerosmith's "Dream On," though, curiously, not his new debut solo single.
Alaina also got her time to shine, singing a grinding version of Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats," with a California-beach-babe-looking Underwood sauntering out to trade sassy verses, with the two Southern gals making beautiful music together.
And so season 10 ended with the coronation of the first country "Idol" winner since season four's Underwood, who just happens to be the biggest star in the show's history. So Scotty's got that going for him.

'I'm gonna go and just kill it,' the '(Drop Dead) Beautiful' rapper/singer says about her planned appearances with Spears.
By Jocelyn Vena
On select dates of Britney Spears' Femme Fatale tour, which kicks off next month with opening act Nicki Minaj, look for the singer to be joined by her "(Drop Dead) Beautiful" collaborator, Sabi. The fledgling rapper/singer dished about the gig to MTV News on Wednesday night at a private event hosted by Spears to benefit the St. Bernard Project, charity that aids Hurricane Katrina victims.
Sabi revealed that, first up, she'll appear in Los Angeles this Saturday at KIIS-FM's annual Wango Tango concert, which Spears will co-host. "That's this week and when Britney goes on tour, I'll be doing a couple shows, like L.A., Las Vegas and New York," explained Sabi. "So that's kind of what's going on right now."
While Spears has been busy prepping for the tour, Sabi has yet to hit up rehearsals with the femme fatale herself. "No [I haven't rehearsed yet]. I've been rehearsing for Wango Tango," she said. "I don't know [what will happen up there], I'm just excited. I'm gonna go and just kill it. You don't get this type of opportunity all the time, so I'm just ready to go kill it."
Sabi says that since Spears' album dropped earlier this year, she's been enjoying more and more visibility in the pop music world. And she is not complaining at all.
"Life's been increasingly busy since then," she explained. "Before, it was kind of like working, but it's a slow grind and now things are coming to [fruition]. So it's dope, 'cause this is what I wanted. I wanted to get to that level where I'm able to make really serious moves for my career and I'm here now, so it's dope."
Would you be excited to see Sabi at some of Britney's Femme Fatale shows? Tell us in the comments.

Femme Fatale producer tells MTV News the pop star defies categorization because she's 'forward-thinking.'

Ed Helms tells MTV News that the comedy sequel is 'disturbing, horrifying, unnerving ... oh, and also hilarious.'
By Jocelyn Vena
NEW YORK CITY — Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and director Todd Phillips all showed up at the Landmark Sunshine Theater on Monday night to celebrate the premiere of "The Hangover Part II," the follow-up to 2009's hit buddy comedy about the aftermath of a lost night of debauchery in Las Vegas. Helms told MTV News on the red carpet that he never expected that he and his castmates would get back together for more partying and antics.
"We had no idea that 'The Hangover' would do what it did so we were all kind of blown away," Helms recalled. "But then very quickly a conversation for a sequel started and we were all kind of like, 'I don't know.' And then Todd showed us the script and it was amazing, so we were like, 'Yeah, let's do that.' "
The "that" turned out to be just as crazy as the first time around, with Helms, Cooper and Zach Galifianakis trying to piece together another lost evening of overindulgence, this time in Bangkok, Thailand. So, how would Helms describe the new flick? "Disturbing, horrifying, unnerving," he said. "Oh, and also hilarious. I forgot that ... Lots of craziness happened on set and you'll see all of that in the movie."
Phillips' description of the movie seems to mirror that of Helms. "Here's what it is: It's like the movie is about chaos [and] to capture chaos, you have to go to chaos, and we went to Bangkok," the director explained. Well, it seems that some people got a bit too caught up in the chaos.
"We lost them to their various vices and addictions," he added. "And in Bangkok, I think we had the same problem [that we had in Las Vegas for the first film]. It makes it a little harder [when people get caught up in the chaos]. There's always three or four guys that seem like weak links, that are, and you can tell when you're going to lose a crew guy to their vices and their wife comes and gets them and puts them in rehab and it gets better."
So how much are the "Hangover" stars like their characters in the film? "Well, we're exactly like the characters, but not how you think," Helms quipped. "I'm exactly like Zach, Zach's exactly like Bradley and Bradley's exactly like me, so go figure ... I have a huge beard and I'm a little portly."

'It's not an urban legend ... this is happening,' Slaughterhouse's Joe Budden told 'RapFix Live' about the supergroup's upcoming album.
By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway
When Eminem co-signs you, expectations will run high. With the ink dry on their Shady Records contract, hip-hop supergroup Slaughterhouse are hard at work on their first LP to be released via Em's label. On Wednesday, Royce da 5'9", Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Crooked I appeared on "RapFix Live" and talked to Sway about the progress of their as-yet-untitled album.
"It's not an urban legend, though, this is happening. This is really taking place," Joe Budden told Sway from the set of Bad Meets Evil's "Fast Lane" video in Detroit.
In 2009, Slaughterhouse released their self-titled debut on indie label E1 Music. The LP was recorded in a rush and still was met with critical acclaim. Now that the collective is in a major-label setting, the expectations are higher — a notion not lost on the group. "We're just getting started, we're not gonna rush it," said Royce. "We were behind the eight ball with the last album — we had to get it done in six days. Just having the opportunity where time is not an issue, budget is not an issue — we just gonna go in there and knock it out."
Having Eminem's guidance is also a plus. "I run everything by him, just 'cause I trust his ear. And he has OCD, so I know he'll nitpick my song apart," Royce told Sway. "So even with my solo stuff, anything I do, I try to run by him. So he is kinda like our A&R I guess."
The chemistry between the quartet's members seems to be intact. Even when the rest of Slaughterhouse are giving Budden a ribbing for his controversial song leak "Ordinary Love Sh-- Pt. 3," there are no hard feelings. "They unconditionally love me, these guys. I don't care what they say," Budden said.
As far as when the new album will release, the group is hoping for a fourth-quarter drop. "If I had a wish list, I would love somewhere around Christmas," Royce said, with all of his bandmates in agreement.

Taylor Lautner will be abducting fans to the theater this fall when his action-packed flick "Abduction" hits the big screen. Lautner promoted the upcoming flick when he stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Tuesday night, also telling the host that he's feeling emotional now that he's wrapped up "Breaking Dawn," the final installment in the "Twilight" series.
"All done. It's very weird. Yeah, we've literally been filming these movies for the past three or four years. It's strange to know I'm not going back; I'm not going to be Jacob Black anymore. ... But on the other hand, we're going to be promoting these movies for the next two years," he said on the show. "I was pretty upset myself, but I think the biggest surprise was Kristen [Stewart]. She's very sweet, yes. I predicted it from the beginning. On the last day, it did get emotional. ... We are all great friends."
Looking ahead to his next venture, "Abduction," which co-stars Lily Collins, Lautner premiered a new clip. In it, the actor is seen getting into fisticuffs with a man on a train. And those paying close enough attention do get a quick peek at his abs.
"It was just a coincidence [that I used to study martial arts and now I do action flicks]," he said. "When I was young, I did every sport possible, and martial arts was one of them. This movie was the first time I got to use it."
So what about all those "Stretch Armstrong" rumors? He explained, "We'll see. There's a lot of stuff in the works."
