Demi Lovato Says Working With Eminem Would Be 'Amazing'
She's just one of several pop stars bridging the gap between hip-hop and rap.

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lovato__demi/artist.jhtml">Demi Lovato</a> and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/eminem/artist.jhtml">Eminem</a> are not two names often tied together. But the pop singer recently shared that she'd like to change that, saying she'd love to hit the studio with the legendary rapper. </P><P> </P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Demi Lovato Would 'Die' If She Could Share The Stage With Lil Wayne" id="vid:693216" width="240" height="211"></div><p> </P><P> </P><P>"Hopefully, I can work with Eminem," the singer told <a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/marc_malkin/demi_lovato_talks_sobriety_working/284121#ixzz1igXp8e8i" target="_blank">E! News</a> about her dream collaboration. "He's my favorite rapper, so anything with him would be amazing." </P><P> </P><P>Hip-hop fans might be surprised to hear about Lovato's love for the genre, but Lovatics are more familiar with it. She made headlines last fall with her gut-busting <a href="/news/articles/1671173/demi-lovato-lil-wayne-how-to-love-cover.jhtml">cover of "How to Love"</a> by Lil Wayne. When she spoke to MTV News about the deeply personal track, she fessed up about her love for the rapper and his song. </P><P> </P><P>"I just loved the way that Lil Wayne took a risk doing the song 'How to Love,' and when I really listened to it, it's such a great song," she said. "It has such a deep meaning to it and I wanted to perform that, and I put a little spin on it and tried to make it a little more empowering. And I think it fit with the platform and the message that I have with my fans." </P><P> </P><P>Lovato's one of many artists crossing over between <a href="/news/articles/1673248/justin-bieber-drake-hip-hop-pop.jhtml">pop and hip-hop</a>. Taylor Swift was at the forefront of the trend in 2011, hitting the stage with the likes of T.I. and Nicki Minaj. And Justin Bieber said he'll likely work with <a href="/news/articles/1673221/justin-bieber-kanye-west-drake-next-album.jhtml">Drake and Kanye West</a> on his 2012 release, <i>Believe</i>. Lauren says: "There wasn't one moment of Teresa Giudice vs. all her RHONJ castmates (particularly her sister-in-law [Melissa Gorga] and brother [Joe Gorga] that didn't make me feel really uncomfortable. During some scenes, I felt like I should change the channel because things were getting too personal -- even for a reality show!"

Beyonce May Star In Ryan Murphy Flick 'One Hit Wonders'

<P>As <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/knowles_beyonce/artist.jhtml">Beyoncé</a> settles into the role of <a href="/news/articles/1677997/beyonce-motherhood-business.jhtml">motherhood</a>, she's attached to another role — this one for the big screen. The pop singer is reportedly in talks to join Ryan Murphy's latest flick. </P><P> </P><P>Billed as "One Hit Wonders," the film would be a musical comedy that could potentially star B's pal Gwyneth Paltrow, as well as Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz and "Saturday Night Live" star Andy Samberg. </P><P> </P><P>The film would follow Paltrow, Witherspoon and Diaz as pop stars who hit it big in the '90s as — you guessed it — one-hit wonders. In order to gain back some of the pop-star recognition they once had, the ladies join forces and form a supergroup. Samberg and his Lonely Island team would be involved in coming up with the movie's songs. Beyoncé's role is still unknown. </P><P> </P><P>The "Glee" creator would direct and co-write the screenplay with his frequent collaborators, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. He's expected to begin work on it after his big-screen adaptation of the play "The Normal Heart." <a href="http://www.deadline.com/2012/02/ryan-murphy-plans-one-hit-wonders-with-gwyneth-paltrow-reese-witherspoon-cameron-diaz-beyonce-and-andy-samberg/" target="_blank">Deadline</a> reports that the film's idea came after Paltrow, Witherspoon and Diaz dined with Murphy at New York hotspot Soho House and they all wanted to work on a fun project together. The pitch to Sony Pictures chief Amy Pascal was reportedly scooped up in 10 minutes. Deals are currently being worked out. </P><P> </P><P>MTV News' email to Murphy's rep had not been returned by press time. </P><P> </P><P>Regardless of how this film shakes out, Beyoncé is reportedly already thinking about her music career again. Producer Ryan Tedder shared that the singer is prepping several <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/02/14/beyonce-prepping-two-new-albums">follow-up albums</a> to <a href="/news/articles/1665479/beyonce-4-leak.jhtml">2011's <i>4.</i></a> </P><P> </P><P>"The conversations about her next album literally just started and there [are] two projects happening. All I can say is, you kind of feed her the best that you have, and she's this phenomenal filter and she takes it all in."
