Justin Bieber Aimed To Flex Acting Chops With 'As Long As You Love Me'

"And I feel kind of like the whole 'Romeo and Juliet' story and how the dad didn't want [me] to be with the daughter, I just thought that was the perfect [match for the lyrics] 'I'll be your silver, I'll be your gold.' I'll do anything for you to be my girl."</P><P>Given that the video fully display Bieber's burgeoning acting abilities, he admits it's something he's hoping he can try out more and more in his career. And, yes, that includes his long in-the-works <a href="/news/articles/1686835/justin-bieber-basketball-movie-mark-wahlberg.jhtml">flick with Mark Wahlberg</a>.</P><P>"I hope to do some more acting. I've only done a few things like <a href="/news/articles/1645054/justin-biebers-csi-story-line-will-be-explosive.jhtml">'CSI,'</a> but I really want to do some more acting," he said. "Mark Wahlberg and I, we've been working on a script for a long time now... I mean it's like a little basketball concept."</P><P>With a Hollywood career on the horizon and a <a href="/news/articles/1691181/justin-bieber-believe-tour-lucky-fan.jhtml">massive tour</a> set to kick off in September, Bieber shared that he still finds time for himself when he can. <P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> is set to release his highly anticipated music video for his latest <i>Believe</i> track, "As Long as You Love Me," on Wednesday (August 1). The clip for the swirling club jam appears to have all the components of a memorable video. From the cast to the director, Bieber has enlisted some A-list talent to help make something that could be very, very epic.</P><P>Fans first started looking forward to the video when Bieber announced the song would be his next <a href="/news/articles/1688450/justin-bieber-next-single-as-long-as-you-love-me.jhtml">single back in June</a>, riding high off the release of his chart-topping album. And while his <a href="http://www.mtv.com/ontv/vma/2012/">VMA</a>-nominated video for "Boyfriend" was light on concept — focusing more on Bieber, cars and pretty people — once a still from the new clip hit the Web weeks later, Beliebers knew that things were set to get much more remarkable.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Justin Bieber Proving His Haters Wrong With 'Good Music'" id="vid:793035.id:1687833" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Earlier this month, the singer dropped the image from the Anthony Mandler-directed video. In it, the 18-year-old <a href="/news/articles/1689686/justin-bieber-bloody-as-long-as-you-love-me-video.jhtml">pop stud appeared bloodied and bruised</a>. At the time, little was known about what the video would be about, but Mandler did share that "It's a story of love.... #believe." Big Sean, who appears on the song, also tweeted about being on set with Bieber for the clip. Usher, will.i.am and Asher Roth all stopped by the set, Bieber wrote. No word on if they made the final cut of the video.</P><P>Then, just as news from the "ALAYLM" video began to slow down, Bieber revealed that <a href="/news/articles/1690266/justin-bieber-michael-madsen-as-long-as-you-love-me-video.jhtml">"Kill Bill" actor Michael Madsen</a> would be making a cameo in the clip. His role remained a secret, but that secret was unearthed last week when a <a href="/news/articles/1690699/justin-bieber-michael-madsen-as-long-as-you-love-me-video-teaser.jhtml">teaser for the video</a> dropped. In it, Madsen plays the overprotective dad of Bieber's love interest. In the intro for the visual, the actor warns the singer to stay away, or else. Judging from the looks of it, Bieber isn't planning to leave his lady love anytime soon.</P><P>The full video drops Wednesday, and that's when fans will learn if Bieber has abided by Madsen's rules or if he sets out to prove that love conquers all.</P><P><i>Do you think Justin will defend love in the "As Long as You Love Me" video? Benzino Apologizes To Eminem, Says 'I Was Wrong'

<P>Throughout his career <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/eminem/artist.jhtml">Eminem</a> has been perhaps the most feared MC on the mic, but that didn't stop <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/benzino/artist.jhtml">Benzino</a> from going toe-to-toe with Slim Shady in a feud that got very personal. In 2002, Benzino labeled Em "the rap Hilter" on his dis track <a href="/news/articles/1459003/benzino-calls-eminem-rap-hitler.jhtml">"Die Another Day,"</a> but if the rapper/magazine publisher had his way, he would've done things differently.</P><P>"I can say it now, I was wrong for it. Because at the end of the day, Em is a great lyricist and he should be able to express himself in hip-hop as anybody should," Benzino said on Wednesday when he appeared on "RapFix Live."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Benzino Was 'Wrong' For Beefing With Eminem" id="vid:824012.id:1691390" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>ZNO, who once ran <i>The Source</i> magazine with his business partner, Dave Mays, launched an all-out attack on Slim Shady. Em himself fired back with multiple well-orchestrated dis tracks like "The Sauce" and "Nail in the Coffin." Benzino says he's a different man. "You really can't accomplish nothing, as far as nowadays times, with drama," he said. "All drama does is just slow you down, it just hampers things. I don't have no beef with nobody... The situation with me and Eminem, if I could've done it over, I would've."</P><P>The Boston MC, who now stars in VH1's hit reality show "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta," believes that it was in upbringing in the rough and tumble Beantown which caused him to lash out at Em. Race definitely played an issue, but now Benzino credits the Detroit mega star with bringing different cultures together.</P><P>"Em's still doing his thing and he's still a great influence on hip-hop," he said. "Hip-hop has bridged the cultures, white, black, Latino, Asian, it's for everybody."</P><P>"I probably was an angry person back then," he continued to explain. <P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> is offering up a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for one of his lucky Beliebers.</P><P>The singer has just launched a campaign where fans can upload videos of themselves dancing. One lucky dancer will score a coveted audition spot with Bieber to try and snag a dancer position on his <a href="/news/articles/1686358/justin-bieber-believe-tour.jhtml"><i>Believe</i> tour</a>.</P><P>Bieber, with the help of his "Never Say Never" helmer and his tour director, Jon M. Chu, will be scouring <a href="http://www.youtube.com/ds2dio" target="_blank">Chu's D-Studio</link> to find the next great dancing talent. The campaign launched Friday (August 3), while in-person dance auditions kicked off earlier this week in L.A.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Justin Bieber Proving His Haters Wrong With 'Good Music'" id="vid:793035" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"Justin also has such a huge online component, that's where he was discovered," Chu told <a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/335327/Justin-Bieber-Launches-New-Site-to-Find-Dancers-for-Believe-Tour" target="_blank">E! News</a>. "You can upload your own video and audition."</P><P>"We're only looking for the best dancers in the world. I know you and I, we want to take it to a whole other level," choreographer Nick DeMoura added in a video posted with Chu on D-Studio about the tour. "It's gonna be like an epic journey."</P><P>The guys are looking for dancers of all styles. Chu added that Bieber and the team have a certain goal for the tour, "We're gonna make you believe in magic." Submissions must be in by August 17. The tour kicks off September 29 in Glendale, Az. <a href="/news/articles/1690792/carly-rae-jepsen-justin-bieber-tour.jhtml">Carly Rae Jepsen will open</a> for the singer.</P><P>If dancers are looking for some inspiration, <a href="/news/articles/1688265/justin-bieber-after-believe.jhtml">manager Scooter Braun</a> has noted that the King of Pop has been influencing the <a href="/news/articles/1690978/rihanna-only-girl-best-pop-video-video-music-awards.jhtml">VMA-nominated Bieber</a> as of late.</P><P>Not only does Michael Jackson inspire the <a href="/news/articles/1691125/justin-bieber-michael-madsen-michael-jackson-connection.jhtml">"As Long As You Love Me" video</a>, but he also inspires the trek, kicking off this fall.</P><P>"He has been watching a tremendous amount of Michael Jackson concerts from the '80s and '90s," Braun shared. "And he has been talking to me about how Michael incorporated magic and pyro and reveals and he wants to bring in that. [But] still do that acoustic thing, but he wants to take it to a whole new level.</P><P>"It's just really exciting," he continued. "Nothing makes him happier than being onstage. So it's gonna be fun to get back onto the road. I think he was an amazing performer before, but his level of dance and musicianship and his range [has grown]. He's a veteran now. <P><MTVNLINK type="artist" id="502642">Eminem</MTVNLINK> has devoted most of his studio time over the past few weeks to <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1691665/slaughterhouse-eminem-welcome-to-our-house.jhtml">helping Slaughterhouse</a> complete their Shady Records debut <i>Welcome to: Our House</i>, but Marshall recently confirmed — to the delight of fans — that he's started to work on his eighth solo album, and Royce Da 5'9" wouldn't be surprised if his boss has already banked more than a few records.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Slaughterhouse Learn How To Craft Albums From Eminem" id="vid:825611" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"I've actually kinda just started. I've been on the move a little bit too, so in between things, I sneak songs in here and there," <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1691550/eminem-new-album-recovery.jhtml">Em revealed during a recent interview</a> with Slaughterhouse. "We actually just finished the [Slaughterhouse] album last week ... Now I've got time to be able to start doing things for my own project."</P><P>But despite Em's claims to be in the early stages of recording, Slaughterhouse's Royce Da 5'9" is confident that at the pace he works, Shady might already have a sizeable catalog at his fingertips.</P><P>"Marshall is the type that never really stops recording, so when you get in the studio he's in the back room where the booth is and the door is locked," Royce said on the set of Slaughterhouse's "Throw it Away" video, where Em made a cameo. "Nobody's allowed back there, nobody ever knows what he's doing. All I know is that he's constantly working, so if he told me that he had an album ready right now, I would believe him because he's like a work horse. He works every day."</P><P>During his studio time with Slaughterhouse, Eminem admitted that he's been using "all of Dre's little tricks, I've stolen over the years" to perfect songs, and that should translate into a memorable body of work.
